There are three production methods for ribbon: weaving, knitting and weaving.

(1) Weaving method: the process is basically the same as cotton weaving. The twisted yarn is wound into a bobbin and then placed on the warp frame for weaving directly on the loom. Or after the warping process and then weaving on the loom. Weaving can be done on shuttle-band looms or shuttle-less looms. When using a shuttle-belt loom to weave, it is generally possible to weave dozens of strips at the same time. When weaving with a shuttleless belt loom, two weft threads are introduced to the other side at a time, and the weft threads are hooked by a tongue needle to form a band edge. After weaving, the strip is ironed, inspected and packaged into the warehouse (see finishing of the fabric).

(2) Knitting method: The process is the same as knitting warp knitting. The yarn is looped on a warp knitting machine by a tongue stitch to make a knitted ribbon fabric, including lace. Elastic tape and non-elastic tape can also be made on the crochet machine. The finished ribbon fabric is ironed, inspected and packaged before being stored.

(3) braid method: After the yarn is formed through the winding and winding process, the weft tube is inserted into the fixed tooth base of the ingot braid machine according to the requirements of the rope belt product. The weft tube rotates along an "8" track to pull the yarns across each other. When the number of ingot machine is even, the woven product is cylindrical; When the number of ingots is odd, the woven product is flat. A sandwich belt is woven by adding core thread.
