On October 12th, the "Nantong Famous Products Overseas Tour" (Dubai Special Session) and Nantong's industrial promotion event, hosted by the Nantong Municipal Government and organized by the Municipal Bureau of Commerce and Nantong Foreign Trade Group, was held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This is the first exhibition independently held by the Nantong Municipal Government overseas, marking the official entry of Nantong's high-end textile industry into the Middle East market under the model of "government-led and cluster going global".

High-end textile is one of the six trillion-yuan industrial clusters in Nantong. By 2024, the scale of Nantong's home textile industry had exceeded 240 billion yuan.

After more than 40 years of development, Nantong has formed a home textile industrial cluster centered on the two major markets of Dieshiqiao and Zhihao, and has built a complete industrial chain from R&D and design, spinning and weaving, dyeing and finishing to finished product manufacturing and sales logistics. The products cover eight core categories including sets, pillows, mattresses, MATS and home wear, with over 200 subcategories and a total SKU of tens of millions.

The annual export volume of Nantong's garment industry exceeds 10 billion US dollars, and it is an important partner of many internationally renowned brands. Since the late 1970s, Nantong has begun to produce Arabian robes and their matching high-end fabrics, and has a solid market foundation in the Middle East.

The event organized 24 representatives from Nantong's home textile and garment enterprises to participate in the exhibition, attracting over 50 Middle Eastern purchasers to make on-site purchases.

The on-site negotiation at the exhibition was very active. Over a thousand home textile and clothing products from Nantong attracted buyers to stop and exchange ideas.
