Under the influence of La Nina, this winter will be "warm in the first half and cold in the second half". The strongest cold wave in nearly a decade may occur in January, and the demand for thermal insulation fabrics will be released in advance in a concentrated manner. The market shows a distinct pattern of "tech fabrics leading in premium, while traditional fabrics are under pressure in terms of differentiation" : Orders for graphene aerogel fabric that can withstand an extremely cold of -40℃ are scheduled until late December, the transaction price of far-infrared heating fabric rose by 5% weekly, and the inventory of ordinary pure cotton fabric increased by 15%. Driven by both consumption upgrade and extreme weather, functional thermal insulation fabrics have become the absolute stars in the autumn and winter market.

Orders for tech fabrics have been snapped up like crazy, while traditional fabrics are uneven in temperature

In November, the temperature in most parts of the country was 2 to 4 degrees Celsius lower than the average of previous years, directly igniting a purchasing craze for thermal insulation fabrics. Data from mainstream fabric markets such as Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, and Foshan, Guangdong Province show that the overall transaction volume of thermal insulation fabrics increased by 22% year-on-year in the first half of November. However, there are significant differences in performance among different categories, presenting a pattern of "insufficient supply of technological fabrics and inventory differentiation of traditional fabrics".

The core enterprise of the same aerogel fabric for Antarctic scientific research has doubled its orders compared to October. Its products are exported to over 30 countries. In the US market, high-specification cold-proof clothing priced at 449 US dollars is still in high demand. Graphene aerogel fabric, with its property of not stiffening at -40℃, has become the first choice for polar equipment and outdoor clothing. Even enterprises like Shandong Rare Technology with an annual production capacity of 400 tons are still in short supply. The downstream purchase orders for far-infrared heating fabrics have increased by more than 30% year-on-year, with the demand in the thermal underwear and windbreaker sectors being the most concentrated.

Pure cotton fabric maintains basic demand through affordable prices. However, due to the fluctuation of cotton prices, domestic lint cotton prices dropped by 0.1% month-on-month in the first ten days of November, resulting in a 15% increase in the inventory of ordinary pure cotton fabric compared to the beginning of the month. Wool blended fabrics show a pattern of "high-end stability and low-end coldness". Orders for products with a wool content of over 60% remain stable, while those with a low wool content are embroiled in a price war.
