The 6th Member Assembly and the 1st Council of the Shandong Textile and Apparel Industry Association were held in Yantai on May 19, 2026. This event coincided with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the association and the beginning of the "15th Five-Year Plan". It was a crucial event aimed at promoting the high-quality development of the textile and apparel industry in the entire province. 

The conference brought together representatives from nearly 300 member units of the China Textile Industry Federation and industry association leaders from various regions, jointly mapping out a new blueprint for industrial upgrading. During the meeting, Wang Miao, the secretary of the Party branch of the Shandong Textile and Apparel Industry Association, was elected as the new president of the council, and proposed that in the future, efforts would be focused on "cultivating the soul, consolidating the foundation, strengthening the chain, improving quality, and enlightening intelligence" to promote the industry towards higher-end, intelligent, and green development.
