Nearly 30% of small water-jet weaving factories and knitting factories chose to halt production for maintenance and take early holidays. The large-scale procurement of autumn and winter fabrics for downstream clothing brands has not yet begun. Domestic terminal clothing consumption is sluggish. Overseas export orders are small and scattered, while large long-term orders are scarce. The inventory of raw fabrics is continuously accumulating, and the storage cycle of raw fabrics for most enterprises has reached over 30 days. To accelerate the recovery of working capital, many weaving manufacturers have slightly lowered the fabric prices to offer discounts for sales. The profit margins of regular fabric production have been continuously squeezed. The slight fluctuations in raw material prices have not boosted purchasing confidence. Textile factories all adhere to the strategy of purchasing and using raw materials as needed, and avoid large-scale stockpiling of cotton yarn and polyester raw materials to avoid risks from market fluctuations. 

The dyeing and printing supporting enterprises are also under pressure. The overall production rate of dyeing factories is only 40% to 50%, and many production lines are interrupted for equipment maintenance. Industry practitioners generally predict that the sluggish situation during the off-season may continue until the beginning of August. Only after the overseas autumn and winter orders are concentratedly placed in the second half of August, will the weaving machine startup rate have the room for recovery. The transaction of differentiated functional fabrics is relatively stable, and it has also become the main means for enterprises to maintain operations during the off-season.
