Recently, the annual meeting and innovation development forum of the Polyamide Branch of the China Chemical Fibre Industry Association was held in Shantou, Guangdong Province. This event was jointly organized by the China Chemical Fibre Industry Association and Zhejiang Chuanhua Chemical Co., Ltd. The president of the China Chemical Fibre Industry Association, Chen Xinyue, the vice president of Heng Shen Holding Group and the director of the Polyamide Branch of the China Chemical Fibre Industry Association, Mei Zhen, the general manager of Zhejiang Chuanhua Chemical Co., Ltd. and the director of the Oil Additive and Auxiliary Materials Branch of the China Chemical Fibre Industry Association, Pan Yi, as well as industry representatives from enterprises in the polyamide industry chain, universities, and research institutes, attended the meeting. The annual meeting of the Polyamide Branch was chaired by Deputy Director Deng Jun of the Polyamide Branch of the China Chemical Fibre Industry Association and General Manager He Zhuoseng of the Chemical Fibre Division of Heng Shen Holding Group.

Liu Shiyang, the full-time secretary of the Polyamide Branch of the China Chemical Fibre Industry Association, delivered a report on the work of the branch in the past year, summarized the main work of the past year, clarified the key tasks for the next stage, and introduced relevant contents of the "Management Measures for Branches and Representative Offices of Social Organizations".

Weng Chuangjie, the chairman of Hongjie Underwear Co., Ltd. and the president of the Shantou Textile and Clothing Industry Association, introduced the development of the Shantou polyamide project, the good development momentum of the polyamide and polyamide-ammonia knitted fabric production bases, and the industrial supporting strength and development potential of Shantou.

Zhuang Xiaohua, the supervisor of the synthetic fibre industry chain of Longzhong Information, introduced the current development status of the polyamide 6 chain and conducted market analysis. She pointed out that the industry is currently in a stage of "slowing capacity expansion but intensified competition", and is transforming from scale expansion to quality improvement. High-quality, differentiated, green, and intelligent are the main themes of future development.

Lü Wenjuan, the vice president of the Nylon New Materials Industry Research Institute of Whatreal Industry Co., Ltd., introduced the current development status of the polyamide 66 chain and the pain points of industry application. She pointed out that to achieve stable quality and supply, it is necessary to optimize the raw material linkage, expand the application end linkage, carry out collaborative innovation and common development among the upstream and downstream of the industry chain.

The attending representatives shared and discussed issues such as the operation and development of the polyamide industry and enterprises, market operation, cost control, green development, collaborative development, new product development, and the expansion of downstream application fields.

Forum Special Reports

Seven experts from universities and upstream and downstream related units shared their views on polyamide production technology, equipment research and development, oil additive and mother batch application, green and low-carbon, and new product research and development. Forum was chaired by Mei Zhen, the vice president of Heng Shen Holding Group and the director of the Polyamide Branch of the China Chemical Fibre Industry Association.

Deng Jun, the deputy director of the Polyamide Branch of the China Chemical Fibre Industry Association, in his speech, said that in 2025, the operation of the polyamide industry will undergo in-depth adjustment. Since 2026, the complex and volatile international situation and the significant fluctuations in oil prices have increased the complexity of industry operation. He emphasized that the problem of imbalanced supply and demand caused by the phased overcapacity of the polyamide industry has become increasingly serious, and industry enterprises need to jointly take measures to increase R&D investment, increase the proportion of functional and differentiated polyamide, coordinate the effective improvement of quality and reasonable growth of quantity, and adhere to quality first and priority of efficiency.
